BioHey. So, not much to say. I'm not all that interesting. Long story short; I ran across fan-fiction by accident. I never knew anything like this existed until a couple of years ago.
I love to read and I'm addicted to Stargate Atlantis, so imagine my delight upon finding fanfiction.net. Several authors there also have LJ accounts and I followed a link to their page.
After months of reading and enjoying many, many awesome stories by some great authors (anonymously) I followed some advice and registered.
I'm not a writer. I'm just not any good at it.(IMO) However, I do love reading all of the wonderful stories written by those of you who can. I will probably not post regularly, if at all on my page. If I do, I know it will be neglected for days at a time but that just can't be helped. The time I do have will probably be spent reading the great stories written in the SGA fandom.
My all-time favorite show is Stargate Atlantis.
My fandom is SGA.
Categories I read:
Gen, Hurt/Comfort, humor, action/adventure, friendship/team, angst etc.
Categories I don't read:
Slash (sorry, just can't go there.)
Het - I'll read it if it's really good or not the main focus, but I tend to not read romance. The only ship I like are friendships. I do think the characters deserve a love life, I'm just not interested in romance stories as a whole - 'Mary-Sue' stories are just......well not my thing either.
Death-fics. Don't usually read them (Unless it's not permanent, LOL!)
I've read a few that are quite good. But I don't like no win situations for my characters. (There's enough of that in real life, thank you very much.)
I'm a relatively private person with an understanding family. I prefer hanging out with friends rather than going to large parties. I'm just not a party person.
